Why do we anodize our implant abutments?
We anodize the abutments to change the color from silver to gold. Changing the underlying color of the ceramic or zirconia restoration has a major impact on the final shade. Silver abutments impart a gray cast to the finished restoration whereas the gold warms the final shade.
We offer screw-retained implant abutments in either Ti-base or custom abutment options. Screw-retained implant crowns are the most popular implant design. The Ti-base abutment and crown option offers an affordable, retrievable, and highly aesthetic restoration that eliminates cement issues at the margins. By far, our most popular option is the custom abutment and crown combination. The custom abutment allows for changes in the emergence profile that sometimes the Ti-base will not allow for.
