Financial Officer, Human Resources
I have held this position since our inception. Through the 30+ years, it has been challenging but fun to find the right person for the right position and watch our team grow and change with the times.
On my off days, I love to spend time with our grandkids, dedicating my time when I’m with them. One of the greatest joys in life is the reward of grandchildren! I also love to cook/ bake, knit, read a good book, a bible study, gardening and my morning walks. Tim and I try to find time to get away for long weekends to explore somewhere we haven't traveled to before. Living in beautiful northern MI gives us many opportunities to kayak, hike a trail, bike, sit on a riverfront, or beach it for the day. I love every season for its unique beauty.
Utility Technician, Denture Technician
I have spent most of my life in a dental laboratory so it seems fit that I have vast amount of knowledge as a dental technician. My dad (owner Tim Bolin) started RiverRock Dental Lab when I was six and before that I would frequent my mom’s family dental lab in the Detroit area. It seems to run in my blood. I was able to step away from it for a brief moment to become a hunting guide in Idaho before returning and finding the love of my life, Sarah.
I have spent 23+ years in various positions within the laboratory awarding me title of utility technician, meaning I can step into any of the departments. My specialty throughout the years has been dentures. I am continually growing and learning in the field.
I work alongside my wife of 13 years, Sarah. We have three daughters, Taylor, Ryan and Shea. In my spare time I am an avid outdoorsman and part-time award winning fish taxidermist. I also enjoy playing hockey.
Dental Technician-Model, Die Trimming, CAD designer, milling restorations in house, Utility Technician
While I am new to the dental technology field, Tim Bolin started me in the model department and from there gradually began developing the skills of the fit and finish aspect as well as staining and glazing of restorations. Most recently studying and acquiring experience in the design and milling side of operations.
Attending Lab Day in Chicago was amazing to see and learn of the many facets in the dental lab industry, sparking further knowledge gained through webinars and online access learning portals. Continued education happens in the lab daily through Tim’s vast knowledge and experience showing when, where and how different applications are utilized, as well as my coworkers.
I enjoy spending my time at home in the country doing various projects and going on adventures with my husband Jeff. I love spending time with my horses and researching various topics with a special interest in equine studies and the cosmos. Living in the north and looking forward to the changing of the seasons, gives me many opportunities to dabble in one of my favorite hobbies, photography. I also enjoy traveling to places I’ve never been to.
Personal Mission Statement: Striving for 100% customer satisfaction. I observe and treat each case uniquely, paying close attention to details to ensure the best results possible. Knowing we are making a difference in someone else’s life give me great satisfaction.
Waxer/finisher, Ceramist, Designer, Social Media
My husband Corey and I have two wonderful children and are blessed to call northern Michigan our home. I am a 2007 graduate of Kendal College of Art and Design with a major in Metal/Jewelry Design with a focus on digital design.
I started in the dental field in 2008 after I saw an ad seeking a jewelry artist looking for a horizontal career shift into dental technology. I worked at another laboratory for two years until relocating to the eastern Upper Peninsula where I spent two years until my husband and relocated near family in the Manistee area in 2012.
It wasn’t until 2014 when I had an opportunity to jump back into the dental field once again and join the team at RiverRock. I had never been given the opportunity to create a full gold crown from start to finish. Learning under Tim Bolin (owner), I went from only know one step in the process to being knowledgeable in them all. CAD-CAM design, waxing and finishing have by far been my favorite positions in the lab thus far. Most recently, I have been working on custom implant design/fabrication on our high noble implants as well as digital design with ExoCad. My learning never stops at RiverRock.
My personal mission statement: To give each patient the confidence to smile again one tooth at a time!
Dental Lab Technician
I started my dental lab journey in the model department (where I still spend much of my time), but my duties in the lab also include administrative support with case paperwork, shipping and receiving, and manning our 3D designing and printing.
Coming from a customer service background and equipped with experience in design and 3D printing, I was able to transition well into the dental lab environment. With focused training both in-house and from experts in the field, I'm now working readily at designing, printing, and finishing bite splints and dentures right in the lab.
Based on my position here in the lab, every case will pass through my hands at least twice - when it arrives and when it's leaving. I always strive to make sure that those key points set a case up for success and for our signature top quality. Whether it's by pouring accurate models or packing it to safely arrive with our clients, I want to be sure that all our cases are handled with exceptional care to make patients look and feel their best.
